No wonder nobody can figure out how to change the hooks. It looks as though it may have started out round, then someone took pliers & twisted it 90 degrees, maybe so it wont slide back through the jig head, then bent it over 45 degrees just to make sure you had a difficult time if you wanted to change hooks. The other thing I can't figure out is why the line tie eyelet on these is twisted & cocked at about a 45 degree angle to the body of the jighead. Will be loading up on these handy rigs!!!!Ĭomments: There are no instructions for changing the hooks out & I cant figure it out without the risk putting a hook through one of my fingers. The rotated line-tie will push back into head, then pull with pliers from hook-ring and it should pull through. Put one plier tang on line tie and other on head just below hook-ring and squeeze. Unfortunately I bought 5 packs.Ĭomments: Took just a few moments with a small set of needle-nose pliers to pull wire-frame from head.

The ones that come with it are quality and the correct size for what I use. I am not interested in changing the hooks. Tried bending the wire keeper a little more or may try to cram some jb weld in the head to prevent sliding. Trying to figure out how to prevent this from happening. The tungsten head will slide up on the line tie and cause a break at the knot on a larger fish. Wish Tackle Warehouse would stock these Cheburashkas!Ĭomments: Poor design. The others I intend to use as "free ball" swimbait jigs. The 1-4 gram sizes are very tiny and I'll probably never find a use for them. I ordered a set ranging from 1 gram to 10 grams. I have some and it is very easy to "remove the clevis".Order the size you want. Check out "Tungsten Jig Head Ball Cheburashka" on Ebay. You can purchase this type of jig head from Europe. I bought these because I was familiar with the design. After about 45 minutes, I gave up on removing the "clevis".

I use the VMC crankbait snaps.Ĭomments: Just received my Free Ball Jigs today. It prevents the clevis from slipping up onto your line tie. Pretty difficult to switch out the hooks and for the price you pay, it should have a quality hook on it! No thanks!Ĭomments: To prevent the jig head from sliding up on the line tie, I use a small snap. WeightĬomments: The heads are ok, but the hooks are cheap China hooks.
